Business as (Un)Usual: An eLN Member Event

21st September, 2018

Glasgow, UK

The eLN is returning to Glasgow for our next member event. Once again the fantastic Glasgow Clyde College Innovation Centre is playing host to us.

We’re doing something a bit different in Glasgow this year. While we’ll have speakers giving talks (details to follow), the main focus of the event will be themed open spaces. Spaces to network with your fellow e-learning professionals. Spaces to innovate, create, reflect and inspire.

We will be creating open spaces for:

1. Instructional design

2. All things technical

3. Storytelling in e-learning

4. Solo performers (freelancers and e-learning developers in organisations who are a team of one!)

5. Media production

6. Authoring tools

7. A.N. Others … tell us what other spaces you would like to see created.

Come with your ideas. Come with your questions. Come with an open mind. The day will be as inspiring as you make it. (We will, however, be stopping for coffee breaks and lunch … all of which will be provided for you.)

For those who like their events a bit more stuctured, the following talks will be running concurrently:

  • Joan Keevill, eLN Director/Designs on Learning: Identifying Business Performance Needs – Conversations with Your Client
  • John Curran, Designed for Learning: Absorb, Do, Connect – An Instructional Design Methodology
  • Wes Atkinson, Appitierre: Everything You Need to Know About Learning Technologies … And Everything You Don’t!
  • Luke Merrick, Bolt Learning: Storification for Great Learning
  • Keira Hodge, GoodPractice: What E-Learning Can Learn from Marketing

We’re really excited about this day. And we hope you are too!

You can attend this workshop free if you are a full eLN member.

It’s only £29 to join and as well as attending our workshops for free you will receive a range of other great benefits. Click the link below to learn more!
